WBC's wooden chitting tray is based on the traditional potato chitting tray but handmade from sustainable mango wood.

Wooden chitting trays look great used in artisan bakery displays as well as a classic way to store fruit and vegetable in your farm shop or deli.

As a sustainable product, mango wood ticks all the boxes. Native to India and grown in abundance; it’s strong, it’s beautiful and it’s incredibly durable and water resistant.

Mango wood is a byproduct of an already thriving industry: Mango fruit.

Harvesting wood that was previously burnt or destroyed, provides extra income to indigenous farmers and you with a beautiful material for display and presentation.

Care instructions:
Wipe clean with a dry cloth.

Food Safety:
Whilst food safe we recommend using waxed paper if coming into direct contact with unwrapped food items.

Wall Mounting:
To be wall mounted by an experienced shop fitter. Whilst the crates are strong, pre-drill them as close to all 4 corners as possible for the most secure fixing.
We also advise that the slats you are drilling through are also drilled and counter screwed from the back onto the frame of the box to further strengthen the installation.
This is essential if any weight above 4kg is being displayed when wall mounted.
