Willow is naturally sustainable as it grows prolifically throughout the northern hemisphere and is harvested regularly through the year. For strength our wicker is boiled for 6-8 hours. We also choose to dry our wicker baskets naturally in the sun making them more durable and avoiding use of coal-fuelled drying rooms.
We love working with the artisan partners who make our wicker and respect the handicraft nature of the baskets they lovingly weave for us. Because our wicker hampers are made using a natural product and hand-made processes, please be aware that the size and shade can vary slightly from batch to batch with an agreed tolerance of +/- 1cm. We think this only adds to the wicker hamper's natural charm, no two baskets are the same, each one a unique piece of art.
