Case study: Care for Sons’ corrugated mailing envelope

Case study: Care for Sons’ corrugated mailing envelope

Care for Sons Ltd is a men’s healthcare provider specialising in hair loss and beard‑growth treatments. They needed a packaging solution to replace the LDPE mailing bags previously used to ship products directly to their customers.

The brief

Care for Sons wanted an environmentally friendly, robust packaging solution suitable for transit and capable of delivering small items of various sizes safely and efficiently.

The solution

The packaging

Our team designed a corrugated mailing envelope that could be delivered flat‑packed to save on storage space and also be expanded to fit a range of small sundry items. By incorporating formed and cut creases into the board, we enabled the envelope to adjust to the product’s size. We also added a peel‑and‑seal tape for packing efficiency, along with a perforated rip strip to provide a smoother, more engaging unboxing experience.

The material

We selected a micro-flute corrugated board manufactured from E-flute, which offers sturdy, reliable protection. Fully recyclable and mainly made from recycled paper fibres, this material also has the advantage of being lighter than standard corrugated boards, helping reducing overall carbon print.

The print

Finally, the envelope was flexo-printed black inside and out. The inner lip features their logo reversed out to reveal the white board beneath, creating the premium appearance of a two‑colour design without additional cost.

The final product is an eco-friendly, self-sealing and strong mailing envelope capable of safely holding a variety of small items and fully fit for shipping.
