The Personalised Protein Company is an exciting start-up that offers a range of protein supplements and daily vitamins tailored to each
customer. We were tasked with designing and producing a range of primary and transit packaging to provide a memorable unboxing experience whilst protecting products in transit.
The brief
The vitamin tower:
- Based on each customer receiving individual vitamin sachets, the goal was to create a carton board dispenser allowing users to pull one sachet at a time while keeping the rest secure.
- It needed to include an impactful, self-locking outer for protection in transit.
- The cartons had to work together to protect the contents and highlight that customers were receiving a quality, well-presented product set.
The protein supplement transit box:
- The packaging needed to contain an insert to accommodate between 5 and 20 pouches.
- The box needed to look sharp, strong and versatile enough to contain daily pouches and larger 250g packs.
The solution
The dispenser and outer:
We developed a bespoke carton board dispenser featuring a snap-lock base for quick assembly and a tuck-over lid for easy and safe loading. We also incorporated a die-cut aperture at the base of the carton to allow the end-user to easily remove one sachet each day. Based on the tower, our team designed a self-locking outer carton with 100% outside flexo-print.
The protein shipping box:
For the larger protein supplements, we used a 0427 self-locking carton with 100% outside print. To deliver a set with multiple items, we engineered a flat pack self-locking insert to slot into the constructed carton. It featured recesses to allow each protein pouch to be dropped into the carton and held in the correct position and orientation. A larger pouch was accommodated at the top of the insert for an impactful unboxing experience.
The result
We delivered several highly impactful packaging items as part of a multi-item set that looked great, protected the product in transit and acted as a home storage vessel.
