Frequently Asked Questions
What can I put in a hamper basket?
Our hampers are incredibly versatile. They are perfect for everything from gourmet food (wine, oils, cheeses, and deli jars) to lifestyle products like toiletries, beauty items, candles, or pet care.
Important note on shipping: To ensure your hamper arrives safely, we recommend using our shredded or tissue paper to fill any gaps and prevent damage. If you are shipping temperature-sensitive food items, be sure to include Sorba-Freeze to keep food chilled during transit.
How to wrap a hamper basket?
The "wrap" is all about protection and that final "wow-factor." Before adding your gifts, use tissue paper, wood wool or shredded paper to pad out empty spaces. This creates a visually appealing backdrop and ensures items stay properly cushioned. For open containers, wrap the basket in a cellophane hamper bag to give it a professional look. And don’t forget the small touches! Every tag, sticker, ribbon and bow helps create an unboxing experience your customers will remember.
How should I arrange a hamper basket?
It depends on whether you are using an open or closed container. For open hamper boxes, create a backdrop by placing your largest and tallest items at the back to provide stability and height. Next, arrange medium-sized goodies in front of the larger items and use small items, like sweets or tea sachets, or void fillers such as shredded paper to fill in the remaining spaces.
For closed hamper boxes, place your heaviest items in the middle of your container to maintain balance and arrange everything else around the edges. Always ensure you can close the lid without damaging the contents, and remember to fill any gaps with shredded paper or wood wool to ensure items don't shift in transit.
Are the wicker hampers reusable?
Yes, our wicker hampers can be reused time and time again. Made from steamed autumn willow, the latter is boiled for up to 8 hours to ensure the fibres are both flexible and strong. We also choose to dry our baskets naturally in the sun, making them more durable and avoiding the use of coal-fuelled drying rooms.
