What surfaces can I use chalk pens on?

Our liquid chalk pens work on on many different backgrounds including tags, chalkboards, acrylic domes and glass, making them a versatile choice for retail and hospitality signage. The waterproof chalk pens won't be wiped off by splashes or condensation and works wonderfully with reversible whiteboard tags.

Are these chalk pens water-based or permanent?

Our chalk pens are water‑based and xylene‑free for both the water‑soluble and waterproof options, making them ideal for non‑porous surfaces like glass and blackboards. The waterproof version is not permanent. While it won’t run or wash off when splashed, it can be easily removed with our Securit cleaning spray and a simple wipe.

How do I clean chalk pen marks off the board?

For the water-soluble chalk pens, a damp cloth is enough. For the waterproof chalk pens, spray the surface with our Securit liquid chalk marker cleaning spray first, then wipe clean. We stock the cleaning spray alongside the pens in this range so you can keep everything together.
