The Braxley Shallow Wooden Serving Spoon is part of our beautifully simple serving utensils for food serving and catering.

The shallow spoon is perfect as a salad spoon or stirrer and is hand carved from 100% sustainable mango wood.

The beautifully smooth finish of the mango wood has been planed to allow the natural grain of the wood to come through.

These are going to work beautifully in all kinds of catering environments, cafes, delis, restaurants and farmshops, but while they're designed for that, there's no reason you couldn't sell them in your homeware or gift shop too.

It's native to India and grown in abundance.

It's strong, it's beautiful and its incredibly durable and water resistant which is why it's a winner when used in the manufacture of outdoor furniture.

But the really amazing thing about mango wood is that it's a byproduct of an already thriving industry - mango fruit.

Harvesting wood that was previously destroyed or burnt, it provides extra income to indigenous farmers and you with a beautiful material for display and presentation.

To keep your Braxley wooden serving tongs in great condition, simply wipe clean with warm water and a soft cloth but like all, avoid putting them in the dishwasher.

If washed in warm soapy water, rinse and dry immediately. Dishwashing liquid can be used.

To nourish and protect the natural wood, rub an edible oil such as olive oil or walnut oil into the surface with a cloth.
